Eye Eat 7

After a nice, relaxing, fun filled Reading Week...I kid about the fun filled part, since I'm kind of cramming for a midterm on Tuesday (good job Jennifer). Ignoring that, I've indulged in my mom's home cooking (sorry dorm food, Mom always wins. ALWAYS). This is her last gift to me before I see my family again in 2 more months...jokes, I only live an hour or so away from campus SO MORE FOOD FOR ME. Okay, back to Eye Eat. These are home made Vietnamese salad rolls, or "gỏi cuốn". These are so good, I could eat these every day and never get tired of them. I've even included a step-by-step procedure of how to obtain happiness with these rolls. Enjoy! :)

Step 1: Grab that salad roll(that's literally bursting with goodness)!

Step 2: Dip into peanut sauce, ensure coated.

Step 3: Take a bite. Feel the happiness spread, and repeat procedure.

Eye Eat 6 (avec les amis)

Hi y'all, just enjoying the beginning of my Reading Week, embracing the fatty foodie in me. I just went out with my awesome friends from high school, and we stuffed ourselves silly (all in a university student's budget, of course) with all this good food. This has been a tradition of ours since Gr.10 and going strong (thanks D! :) ). We had (in order of photos): an onion pancake, Indonesian fried rice, rice noodles with beef, takoyaki (Japanese octopus balls), okonomiyaki (a pancake version of okonomiyaki, minus the octopus... in this one I think), cheap ice cream from the Asian supermarket and drinks. All for under $20 each per person. I feel like this deserves some sort of award....Never mind, a full stomach works. To skimp on space (and the fact that I don't know how to get uniform thumbnails), I've compiled a collage of our lovely omnoms. And full view pics of the drinks.. because they looked that good.

Guess who decided to be a nonconformist and not order coffee?

Capture It

I really hate it when I see a beautiful scene and I don't have my camera on me to capture the image. Especially when I go on runs too. This could be a sign that I'm supposed to bring my camera on my runs. IT'S A SIGN JENNIFER. Here's an old photo of a bottle, with some edits. :)

Pictures With My Eyes

I've always wanted to take pictures with my eyes, since my good ol' (note sarcasm) Nikon point and shoot has some issues. Never ever ever ever buy my model (some coolpix), despite how cheap it is. End rant. Other than that, I went on a nice walk and snapped some photos with a friend after a mentally exhausting lecture. The sun has been making some appearances this week, and hopefully it'll stay like this for a little longer. I already see some flowers beginning to bloom, spring is coming (HOORAY)!

I may or may not be addicted to the selective colour function on my camera.

One of my favourite necklaces, a pocket watch! :)

I don't usually like blurry pictures, but there's something about the softness that makes me not want to curse at my camera and/or skills.

Midterms are in full swing, and I'll do my best to post some outfit, food, and art (because heck, I've been neglecting my beloved sketchbook :( ) photos over the next few weeks.

Lots of love,
Jennifer

P.S. I probably will and risk my GPA in doing so because photography has now become an addiction. Note that I am also addicted to wearing my boots.

Who's that girl?

My photo
Hola, I'm an aspiring illustrator scientist (do those exist?) who occasionally dresses well. Lets be friends. :)
